Biscuit Crumble Bake
You will need:
- 1 egg, beaten or 1 tablespoon flaxseed
- 1/4 cup oil (vegetable, canola, or coconut)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 packet of biscuits
-
Preheat oven to 375°F and grease an 8x8 baking pan. Chop biscuits into rough chunks, and some slightly finer, and set aside.
Whisk together milk, oil and egg. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir dry mixture into wet mixture, until thoroughly mixed.
Pour half the batter into the greased pan, then sprinkle a layer of biscuits on top. Gently submerge the biscuits by lightly pressing them down with a wooden spoon, then cover with the remaining batter. Sprinkle the remaining biscuits on top, and drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake at 375°F for 22- 25 minutes. Let cool, slice and enjoy.
